An influential group of MPs has today given its backing to the introduction of the digital railway. The Transport Select Committee’s report on Rail technology: signalling and traffic management, states that “Substantial benefits can be realised by the intelligent deployment of signalling and traffic management technology on the rail network through the Digital Railway programme”.
